Under the shade of the majestic live oaks on the front lawn of the USCB Center for the Arts, the first annual Taste of the Arts invites artists from across South Carolina and Georgia to showcase their work during a two-day juried outdoor exhibition and market.
As part of the iconic Taste of Beaufort Festival, this event celebrates fine art, community, and the creative spirit of the Lowcountry.
More than 35 artists will be selected to display original oils, watercolors, acrylics, photography, sculpture, and more. The event offers strong regional marketing exposure, dedicated volunteer support, and an engaged audience of over 8,000 visitors throughout the weekend.

All submitted work must be original and created by the artist. No mass-produced, resale, or AI-generated work will be accepted.

WHAT
The USCB Center for the Arts and the City of Beaufort Cultural District are proud to present the first annual Taste of the Arts, a juried exhibition celebrating the vibrant creativity and cultural richness of the Lowcountry. This annual showcase invites artists from across South Carolina and Georgia to submit their finest original works for consideration.

WHO
Artists working in mixed media, printmaking, oils, pastels, watercolor, acrylics, photography, and sculpture are encouraged to apply. More than $2,500 in prizes will be awarded to outstanding submissions, recognizing excellence in both artistic skill and creative vision.

WHEN
An opening reception and awards ceremony will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at the USCB Center for the Arts. This festive evening marks the beginning of the Taste of Beaufort Festival, a beloved community celebration of fine art, local cuisine, and the creative spirit that defines the Lowcountry. The exhibition will be mounted through June 15, 2026.

HOW
Entries will be accepted through CaFÉ (CallForEntry.org) with a $20 entry fee. We are allowing three images to showcase your work in one of Beaufort’s most anticipated cultural events and to connect with fellow artists, collectors, and art enthusiasts in a beautiful coastal setting.
