Need some Fun at home?

Artists throughout the City of Beaufort have come together to film a series of videos to bring viewers happiness and inspiration while we continue to shelter at home.

The series is called On the Spot and is coordinated by USCB's Center for the Arts and the City of Beaufort. It showcases local singers, dancers, visual artists, musicians, and others who wanted to share their love for the Arts from a distance. The performers were filmed over the last week, and still managed to comply with social distancing guidelines!

GULLAH GEECHEE SPIRITUAL HERITAGE: The Rise of Doctuh Buzzard One hundred and thirty three years after his birth and seventy five years after his death, 'Doctuh' Buzzard continues to hold and entire culture spellbound. His reputation and historic importance is generational and global. He is viewed as the 'iconic saint' of Gullah Geechee Culture. The Rise of Doctuh Buzzard is the creation of Bernice and Andy Tate, Who are known throughout the Georgia, South Carolina Lowcountry region for their amazing visual art, historical and visual art exhibitions. The Rise of Doctuh Buzzard is a supernatural suspense of sacred rituals, spiritual warfare, magical realism, horror and redemption. "Doctuh" is reenacted in this short clip by: Andy Tate.
