A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Heidi has lived the majority of her life in South Carolina and Florida. In 1997, she moved to Sofia, Bulgaria where she took her first art class. Heidi was hooked. Twenty years and three children later, her passion for painting has also become her profession.

Heidi specializes in oils, but also enjoys acrylic. Children are among her favorite subjects to paint. Initially, she illustrated her two sons. As her family grew to include a daughter, her love and interest in paintings grew. Heidi’s works have expanded to include commissioned pieces for other families. She continues diversifying the scope of her paintings to keep her interests fresh, such as landscapes and architecture.

Bright colors and thick, layered paints are central to Heidi’s work. Influenced by the works of Susie Pryor (bold passion and reflection) and Carolyn Anderson (yin and yang, light and dark, warm and cool), Heidi is inspired to experiment sweeping from abstract to realism. Painting is a never-ending journey, and she loves to travel!
